7 Day Highlights of Botswana & Vic Falls (lodges)
This small group overland tour with good budget lodge accomodation shows you the highlights of Botswana and Victoria Falls on a budget. You visit the Victoria Falls, Chobe NP, Elephant Sands, the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and the Okavango Delta. All activities and transfers are included during this tour: guided walks, game drives, boating safaris and excursions in traditional dugout canoes.
This tour can be done in both directions between Victoria Falls and Maun.
Overview
Day 1: arrival in Victoria Falls, sunset cruise on Zambezi River
Day 2: guided tour of the Victoria Falls, transfer to Chobe and boating Safari
Day 3: game drive in Chobe and transfer to Elephant Sands
Day 4: walking Safari or gamedrive in Elephant Sands and NtwetwePan /Meerkat halfday tour
Day 5: transfer to Maun

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN VICTORIA FALLS (-/-/-)
We welcome you at the airport and take you to your accomodation in Victoria Falls (included) where you can relax and unwind from the journey and prepare for the adventure of the next days.
In the evening you enjoy a SunSet Cruise in Zambezi River on top of the Victoria Falls.
DAY 2: GUIDED TOUR OF THE FALLS & BOATING IN CHOBE RIVER (B/L/-)
A local guide takes you on a guided walking tour through the Victoria Falls Rainforest. You see the Victoria Falls from different angles. You can book additional activities in advance on surcharge.
We then continue to Chobe for lunch and an afternoon/evening boating safari.
DAY 3: GAMEVIEWING IN CHOBE & ELEPHANT SANDS … AN EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED (B/-/D)
The Riverfront in Chobe National Park is famous for its large numbers of elephants Chobe which attract animal lovers from all over the world.
You start the day with a morning game drive in Chobe in an open 4×4 safari vehicle.
We then continue our journey to Elephant Sands. Enjoy the scenery of this unique place. Elephant Sands gives you the opportunity to observe herds of elephants and other animals from an upclose distance. Sit by the waterhole and view how the animals interact.
DAY 4: VISITING THE SALTPANS & MEERKATS OF MAKGADIKGADI (B/-/-)
In the very early morning you have a cup of coffee and/or tea. Then you go on a guided walking excursion through the bush of the Elephant Sands Game Reserve or on a game drive in a nearby concession. On return you have a full breakfast and time for a last view on the happenings at the waterhole before continuing the journey to Makgadikgadi.
The afternoon is dedicated to the salt pans of the Makgadikgadi. In a 4×4 safari vehicle you explore the dry lands.
First stop is at the colony of Meerkats, who live on the edge of the Ntwetwe salt pan. With a little luck we have the once in a life time opportunity to observe their natural behaviours and charming personalities from almost touching distance! After visiting the Meerkats we then continue to the vast Ntwetwe salt pan, which forms part of one of the largest salt pans in the world, likened to being on the surface of the moon, the sight of the salt pan is truly one to behold!
DAY 5: TO MAUN (B/-/-)
After breakfast we continue to Maun where you have time to relax and unwind.
DAY 6: IN THE CHANNELS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/-)
Today you spend the whole day in the Okavango Delta. The tour starts in the early morning with a 1h speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Because of dryseason or other circumstances we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle.
At the buffalo fence you meet your poler, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very pationate and knowledgable about. Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the watersystem.
Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional onetree-canoe.
For picnic lunch you stop on one of the islands. Afterwards you go on a walking safari. Another Mokoro excursion takes you back to the buffalo fence where we pick you up for your return transfer to Maun
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM MAUN (B/-/-)
We transfer you to the airport where you connect to your departure flight with your baggae full of unforgettable experiences.
