Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Maun
Day 2: Inner Okavango Delta / activities: walking safari and Mokoro excursions
Day 3-7: Wild Camping Safari (2 nights Moremi/Khwai + 2 nights Savute) / activities: gamedrives
Day 7: Kasane/Chobe / activities: boating safari
Day 8-10: Victoria Falls / activities: various on surcharge
Day 11: Departure from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone (Zambia)

This tour can also be done in reverse (start Victoria Falls, end Maun)

Day 1: Warm welcome at the Airport (-/-/-)

You arrive in Maun, Botswana, a typical african village, the oasis in the Kalahari Desert and the touristic centre for safaris in southern Africa.
At the airport you are warmly welcomed by the Kalahari Breeze Safaris-Team. Explore the town on your own and take in all the impressions. Accomodation is in a budget-midrange lodge. Lodge Standard can be upgraded.

Day 2: Mokoro Day Trip to the Inner Okavango Delta (B/L/-)

In the early morning we pick you at your hotel or lodge or the airport in Maun. The tour starts at 07:30h with a 1h speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Because of dryseason or other circumstances we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle.
At the buffalo fence you meet your poler, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very pationate and knowledgable about.
Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the watersystem. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional onetree-canoe. At lunch time we stop for a picnic meal on one of the islands before your guide takes you on an nature walk where we hope to see more animals and learn about the delta its plants, animals and the tribes living here.
Feel the peace and spirit of the Okavango.
Before sunset you are back in Maun.

Day 3: Into the Wild of Moremi Game Reserve

Now you experience the wilderness and the animals as closely as possible. Your mobile wild camping safari takes you through the National Parks in the north of Botswana: Moremi, Khwai, Savute, Chobe.
You camp directly in the parks and cross the wilderness until you arrive in Kasane, a border town next to Chobe Nationalpark. At any time you can feel safe even if you find yourself within striking distance to wild animals.
Your guide is highly qualified and trained by Botswana Guide Association. You sleep in stretcher-bedded tents with proper duvet blankets. Daily you enjoy fresh and tasty meals. This is possible because a Back Up Team is available 24/7.
In the early morning we take you in a 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle to Moremi Game Reserve, where you will spend the day on gamedrives.
Inside the bush you enjoy a picnic lunch. Before the sun sets you arrive in your camp, where you enjoy a bush shower. After a delicious dinner you can sit around the campfire sharing your experiences of the day.

Day 4: Wildlife Tracking in Moremi Game Reserve (B/L/D)

An early morning wake up with a fast breakfast allows you to go on an early gamedrive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt.
After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
Evening progamm once again is dinner and story telling around the campfire and the unforgettable experience of being during night deep inside the bush.

Day 5: From Bush to Savannah (B/L/D)

Today the camp is moving from Moremi to Savute National Park. In the morning our team breaks down the camp while you have a light breakfast and then start your crosspark drive.
Around lunch time you stop for a picknick meal and a short siesta in Khwai Concession before continuing to Savute. You stop for animals on the way and enjoy the change of scenery from green bush to savanna.
In Savute our team puts up the camp and while we prepare a delicious dinner for you, you can have a shower and wash off the dust of the sandy roads.
Sit around the campfire and listen to the bush while the sun sets.

Day 6: Close Up Wildlife Encounters in Savute (B/L/D)

An early morning wake up with a fast breakfast allows you to go on an early gamedrive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt.
After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.

Day 7: Savannah to Riverfront (B/L/-)

And again you are woken up in the early morning with a warm “Dumela” so that after a coffee, tea and breakfast  you are going on the scenic drive to your next destination. Today we are moving to Chobe Riverfront with a lunch picknick on the way.
You arrive around lunchtime in Kasane with plenty of pictures and unforgettable memories.
You will be accomodated in double/twin chalets at a lodge. After check in you have short time to refresh and then we take you on a 3h boating safari in the Chobe River.

Day 8: Mosi Oa Tunya = ” The Smoke That Thunders” (B/-/-)

The tour continues in Zimbabwe to the Victoria Falls, the waterfalls which cover the longest distance worldwide. They got decared one of the Seven World Wonders of Nature.
We transfer you by road over the boarder. The transfer takes about 1.5-2h if there is no delay at the border.
Accomodation in bedded tents or chalets (upgrade available).

Day 9: Adventure Activities at the Victoria Falls (-/-/-)

In the eary morning you start your day with a so called „Boiling Pot Hike“ (optional at additional cost).
This hike over rocks and by raft from Banoka Gorge underneath the Victoria Falls Bridge to the base of the falls is a breathtaking experience. Take a swim and get a new perspective of the dropping falls
A variaty of additional activities is available around the Victoria Falls. They can be pre-booked on surcharge. To Name a few: Bungee Jumps off the Victoria Falls Bridge, canoe trails, Helicopter Flights etc.

Day 10: Livingstone Island Tour and Devils Pool or Livingstone Day Trip (-/-/-)

You have the choice between two different activity options (Optional at additional cost):

Visit Livingstone Island. This Island in Zambezi River at the edge of the Victoria Falls is highly protected area. Only three times daily 16 perople are allowed to put foot on the island. Enjoy a boat cruise to the island. After a delicious lunch you visit the so called Devils Pool. This natural pool is from august to january a highight for couragous visitors, who dare to take a bath on the edge of the Victoria Falls while while looking down the 103m that the water drops behind them.

OR

Enjoy a full daytrip to Livingstone, Zambia. A group of a local youth centre takes you arounf their town and gives you insights you will never forget. Visit the traditionel Mukuni-Village, the royal village of the Leya-tribeand a tour over the markets and through the townships of Livingstone. After lunch in a good restaurant they offer you a workshop where you can make Zambian crafts.

Day 11: Departure from Victoria Falls or Livingstone (-/-/-)

We transfer you to the airport (Livingstone or Victoria Falls) with plenty of unforgettable memories.
