Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Maun
Day 2-4: Wild Camping Safari: Inner Okavango Delta / activities: walking safari and Mokoro excursions
Day 5-9: Wild Camping Safari: 4×4 (2 nights Moremi/Khwai + 2 nights Savute) / activities: gamedrives
Day 9: Kasane/Chobe / activities: boating safari
Day 10: Victoria Falls / activities: various on surcharge
Day 11: Departure from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone (Zambia)

This tour can also be done in reverse (start Victoria Falls, end Maun)

Day 1: Warm welcome at the Airport (-/-/-)

You arrive in Maun, Botswana, a typical african village, the oasis in the Kalahari Desert and the touristic centre for safaris in southern Africa.
At the airport you are warmly welcomed by the Kalahari Breeze Safaris-Team. Explore the town on your own and take in all the impressions. Accomodation is in a budget-midrange lodge. Lodge Standard can be upgraded.

Day 2: IN THE CHANNELS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/-)

In the early morning we pick you at your hotel or lodge or the airport in Maun. The tour starts at 07:30h with a 1h speedboat cruise to the Buffalo Fence. Because of dryseason or other circumstances we might drive you in a 4×4 vehicle. At the buffalo fence you meet your poler, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very pationate and knowledgable about. Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the watersystem. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional onetree-canoe. In camp on an island our team awaits you with lunch. After your meal you can freshen up before your guide takes you on an afternoon nature walk where we hope to see more animals and learn about the delta its plants, animals and the tribes living here. For dinner we return to camp. In the evening you sit around the campfire sharing the stories of the day.

DAY 3: ON THE ISLANDS OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/D)

Spend the whole day deep inside the Okavango. Explore the channels by Mokoro (traditional DugOut Canoe) and go on guided bushwalks and gamewalks with an experienced guide on the islands of the Okavango Delta.
You are woken up with a warm “Dumela“ (setswana = Hello) and a light breakfast waiting for you. After coffee, tea and breakfast you go on your first gameviewing activity (either a nature walk or a canoe excursion). When returning to camp you have the opportunity to shower. Afterwards you will be served brunch. In the afternoon you enjoy a second gameviewing activity.
Enjoy delicious meals cooked over the bushfire by our experienced bush chef and share the experiences of the day in the evening sitting around the bushfire before falling asleep in your comfortable tent with the noises of animals and the bush around you.

DAY 4: LEAVING THE OKAVANGO DELTA (B/L/-)

Enjoy a last DugOut Canoe tour and a last bush walk before heading back to town. For lunch you will rest by the riverside. Before sunset you will be back in Maun

DAY 5: INTO THE WILD OF MOREMI GAME RESERVE (B/L/D)

In the early morning at we pick you at your hotel or lodge in Maun. You meet your highly-trained and experienced guide that will take show you our beautiful wildlife and nature in the next days.
In a 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle you drive to Moremi Game Reserve, where you will spend the day on gamedrives in the floodplains – seasonally or perennially wet, waterways, lagoons, pools, pans, grasslands and riparian, riverine and mophane forests. This terrain makes driving Moremi’s many loops and trails both delightful and, at times, totally inspiring.
Inside the bush you enjoy a picnic lunch. Before the sun sets you arrive in your camp in where you enjoy a bush shower. After a delicious dinner you can sit around the campfire sharing your experiences of the day.

Day 6: WILDLIFE TRACKING IN MOREMI (B/L/D)

An early morning wake up with a fast breakfast allows you to go on an early gamedrive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt.
After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
Evening progamm once again is dinner and story telling around the campfire and the unforgettable experience of being during night deep inside the bush.

Day 7: FROM BUSH TO SAVANNAH (B/L/D)

Today the camp is moving  from Moremi to Savute National Park. In the moring our team breaks down the camp while you have a light breakfast and then start your crosspark drive.
Around lunch time you stop for a picknick meal and a short siesta in Khwai Concession before continuing to Savute. You stop for animals on the way and enjoy the change of scenery from green bush to savanna.
In Savute our team puts up the camp and while we prepare a delicious dinner for you, you can have a shower and wash off the dust of the sandy roads.
Sit around the campfire and listen to the bush while the sun sets.

Day 8: CLOSE UP WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS IN SAVUTE (B/L/D)

An early morning wake up with a fast breakfast allows you to go on an early gamedrive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt.
After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
Evening progamm once again is dinner and story telling around the campfire and the unforgettable experience of being during night deep inside the bush.

Day 9: SAVANNAH TO RIVERFRONT (B/L/-)

And again you are woken up in the early morning with a warm “Dumela” so that after a coffee, tea and breakfast  you are going on the scenic drive to your next destination. Today we are moving to Chobe Riverfront with a lunch picknick on the way.
You arrive around lunchtime in Kasane with plenty of pictures and unforgettable memories.
You will be accomodated in double/twin chalets at a budget-midrange lodge.
After check in you have short time to refresh and then we take you on a 3h boating safari in the Chobe River.

Day 10: VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE (B/-/-)

The tour continues to Zimbabwe to the Victoria Falls, the waterfalls which cover the longest distance worldwide. They got decared one of the Seven World Wonders of Nature.
After breakfast we transfer you by road over the boarder. The transfer takes about 1.5-2h if there is no delay at the border.
In the afternoon we take you on a guided walk through the Vicoria Falls Rainforest in Zimbabwe and in the evening you go on a sunset cruise in Zambezi River.
Any other activities can be organised on surcharge.
Accomodation is in bedded tents or chalets (upgrade available).

Day 11: DEPARTURE (B/-/-)

After breakfast we transfer you to Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone Airport (Zambia)

Inclusions

6 nights: wild camping in 2.5×2.5m² dome tents with twin stretcher beds, pillows and duvet blankets and private en-suite bush-bathroom with longdrop toilet and bucket shower, 3 meals a day, drinking water, juice, soft drinks,

4  nights: double room with en-suite bathroom

Exclusions:

visas, international flights (to Maun/from Victoria Falls), inssurances, gratuities, personal expenses (such as souvenirs), alcoholic drinks during camping, all drinks during lodging, 1x lunch, 4x dinner, parkfees in Victoria Falls
